Why Unlock Learning?

If information wants to be free, learning needs to be unlocked. Now, more than ever, the ability of an individual to succeed in society depends on their ability to continually learn. Traditionally, learning has been largely inaccessible to large segments of the population either by design or due to the substantial barriers that can divide people and learning experiences. With advances in digital technology, offering high quality learning experiences is a viable option. The move towards open resources is clear various domains and represents a necessary, but not sufficient, step towards unlocking learning.
